SHORT PLAYS

Slipping into Anarchy
No Ideas Today
The Scientific Study of Human Comprehension
Singularity
Lincoln on the Train
Boo Who

In addition to those above, I've written several other short plays that received readings and performances.

Heroic Misconduct

Supe is a superhero in a rut and Mindy has the tough job of firing him due to his Heroic Misconduct. However, he's too dense and too captivated by her feminine curves to understand he's heading for the unemployment line. He’d rather believe it’s actually another conniving plan by Supe’s arch nemesis and that might even be true.

Heroic Misconduct was chosen to be part of "Villains" on October 6, 2019 at The Vintage Theatre, in Aurora, Colo. by One Night Stand Theater.

Up & Down

In the play, a beautiful woman walks into a man's life and he must make a decision: Take the risk and talk to her before the elevator ride is over, or stay silent and remain afraid. When he finds out the voices in his head aren't as quiet as he thought they were, it forces his hand and then he severely regrets his choice for lunch.

Up & Down was chosen to be part of "Roses and Thorns: A One Night Stand Valentine" on Feb. 12, 2017 at The Vintage Theatre, in Aurora, Colo. by One Night Stand Theater.

The Department of Famous Last Words

The play welcomes you to a place where Queen Elizabeth, Julius Caesar and Oscar Wilde write the famous quotes people on Earth deliver just before they die. Now they have a new employee who came up with his own epitaph, but he's too embarrassed to say what it was.

The Department of Famous Last Words was part of the 2011 Future Ten play festival in Pittsburgh. Performances were Nov. 3-5 and Nov. 10-12, 2011. It was also performed as a staged reading for One Night Stand Theatre in September 2010 and was read as part of a benefit for Vintage Theatre in August 2010. It was also presented as a staged reading for the premiere of Theatre Cafe at the Mercury Cafe in Denver in May 2009 and it was selected as a winner of the Boot Camp Challenge at the 2007 Playwrights Showcase of the Western Region.

Lost Autumn & Life is Not a Rehearsal

In June 2007, my short-play, Lost Autumn, and my one-act play, Life is Not a Rehearsal, had readings with the 5th Circle Theatre Company in Boulder County, Colorado.

PQRS

My monologue, "PQRS," was part of "Remembering 9/11: Collected Writings" in September 2004 and "9 to 11 Minute Plays and Stories: Inspired by the Events of 9/11" in 2019.
